Mittwoch macht Spaß!

So, apparently, Wednesdays rule. I don't know what it is, but I always seem to enjoy my Wednesdays. It's like Monday blues have passed and Tuesday you came to terms with the inevitable working week, but you were still bitter. Wednesday, however, is acceptance day. So accept I shall.

I'm not quite sure why I feel so buoyant and upbeat today. Is it the because the Moon is in warm, expressive Leo? Is it because I got all my laundry done last night? Or is it because my dog didn't wake me up at 5am for her breakfast; allowing me a fuller night's rest? Who's to say? All I know is that today rocks. So I'm sorry if you can't handle it's awesomeness.

I mean, I know Wednesdays can't compare to Saturdays or even Fridays, but today must be awesome because I NEVER wake up well in the morning and this morning I actually sang at the top of my lungs to my mix CD all the way into work. Beat that, Monday!

So if you're not quite on board with this whole Wednesday fiasco then maybe you just need get out of your chair, do a little dance (Get Down Tonight), and get jiggy with it. It always helps me.

PS) I know that after reading this many of you have had to excuse yourselves in order to vomit in disgust. So I'm sorry for that. It's just the way I feel. It's hump day, folks!

Monday Blues (Literally)

What is it about Mondays? I used to silently scoff at people who said they had a case of the 'Monday Blues' when I was in college. You somehow think you're immune to having to work in a corporate environment at that age. You think, "Well, that happens to a lot of people, but it won't happen to me. I won't let it. Damn the Man," and all that jazz, but you soon find yourself working an 8-5 job, Monday through Fridays and those 'Monday Blues' take on a whole new meaning.

They don't tend to last all day for me, though, which is a good thing. They come and go (Karma Chameleon), but it never fails that at some point every Monday I get a case of the blues. I tend to be very fragile and anti-social. Not the best feeling.

So last Monday I channelled all that awkward emotion into a little computer painting that I'm actually quite proud of. I think it really depicts the mood I was in. It's called Night Time Blues. Since it gets compressed on this site you can't see all the detail in the bottom right corner. It's kind of jumbled and small. The real one is much larger.
Here it is:

I have quite a few of these little computer paintings. I love making them. They're all done on the Microsoft Paint program. I just feel like I need a constant creative outlet in order to feel worthwhile or productive. I'll be showcasing a series of them on a future MySpace blog entitled "Little Musings: Part 2", or something to that affect, where you'll be able to see this one in it's full scale glory (Heheh).

In the meantime, I suppose I better paint a new one. My blues are much less dark today. Just a little melancholy. God, I sound so whiny. I'm really not trying to throw a pity party here. I hate that. I'm just bloggin'.

So I'll tell a little joke to lighten the mood. I'm sure you've all heard this one:

Question: Why does Snoop Dog need an umbrella?

Answer: Fa Drizzle!

It's much more poignant when spoken with a little Snoop Dog accent. It's old school, I know, but hey...it's Monday.

Roy Kills Jim?

As I mentioned before (if you've read my 'about me' stuff) I am a super mega huge fan of NBC's The Office. The show has been on a month + hiatus and it's fans have been desperate for new material. So to help out their fans NBC and The Office crew added never before seen footage to a couple of reruns last week and next week they are having an Office marathon featuring 5 episodes with an HR nightmare theme hosted by Toby.

While we really appreciate them doing that for all us crazy fans and we anxiously await that marathon, the reruns still can't compare to the agony of having to wait for the conclusion of Roy's famous line, "I'm going to kill Jim Halpert." So I stumbled on this new commercial from NBC about the whole JAM story-line and a slight teaser about what's to come on April 5th's new episode. The last fifteen seconds made me so giddy! (I actually gasped)! I called my mom and left five messages telling her to watch the clip. I'm so excited! I can't put it into words. I'm so stoked for Jam. It's gotta happen soon.

So here's the link:

Will Roy end up with another arrest?

If you're a Jam fan, there's no question. You've GOT to check out this video!

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!

Enter the Wonderland.

Hello All.

My name is CayceAquaSheep. This is my first blog for this site. So here's a little bit about your's truly:

I'm in my late twenties and I live in Austin, Texas. I recently upgraded my work status from 'temp' to 'receptionist' for a commercial real estate firm. Sounds riveting, yes? Well, it is........n't.

Actually I'm into the arts; music, painting, writing, acting, you name it. Lately it's mostly been painting and writing, though.

Oh, and I also love astrology, which is such a fun thing to tell people because you end up getting one of two responses. It's either an intrigued sort of "Huh" reaction with someone's head tilted to the side in curiosity and genuine interest or you get a dismissive "Oh" reaction followed by silent judgement and ridicule. Obviously I prefer the former, but either way there are good times to be had. However, in a corporate office environment, admitting you're into astrology is social suicide.

I also didn't know that when I named my blog "Working in an Office Wonderland" that that would be the theme of my entire blogger situation. I thought I was naming this particular blog. Hmmm. Although, now that I think about it, I think I'll keep it. I'll be blogging mostly from here at work anyhow. So it's fitting.

Anyhow...I'm looking forward to blogging for nothing and no one in particular!
